Mirka
The 'Gen with the X-Ray Eyes

On foggy nights, you'd be seeing Mirka - the Fog WeatherGen with the dazzling foglight eyes! The light effect was of course, computer generated. Lots of dry ice was used in the studio to give the impression of swirling fog. Mirka is somewhat reminiscent of a witch, conjuring up thick layers of fog to cause all kinds of hazards...
The name "Mirka" may be derived from "murky" which means "partially or totally dark, gloomy," etc.
Unfortunately, little is known about the lady who played Mirka, except that she was an Italian model with the surname "Felix." If anybody has any information on her, please get in touch so we can expand this page!

In my books, Mirka's powers are strongest during autumn - particularly around Halloween, which is when she likes to create some spooky fog to scare people. She prefers night to day and is a bit of a mysterious character, often lost in thought. It takes a long time to get to know Mirka as she keeps her feelings hidden - rather like her fog hides things. If you're patient, she might warm to you over time.
