Cyan
Turns the Weather Colder

Cyan, sometimes seen as the opposite of Gilda, represents warm weather turning colder. Some articles incorrectly refer to her as representing clear blue skies.
The name "Cyan" comes from the Greek word "kuanos" - meaning "dark blue."
Also "cyanosis" is a condition where the skin turns blue due to lack of oxygen.
Well Cyan certainly was blue...some fans think of her as the Blue Sky Queen.
She was played by Ivana Horvat (below), a part-time model, painter and decorator of Croatian descent, from Streatham, South-West London. Cyan was the first thing she'd starred in.

To be fitted for her costume Ivana was wrapped in Clingfilm and lots of Sellotape to make a perfect cast of her body. Ivana was also on a revolving dais all day trying not to faint. But the end result was worth it!
After Cyan, Ivana went on to work for T Mobile, host the Five show Exclusive with Sara Cox and featured in FHM magazine.
Update! May 2011- Ivana got in touch with me via Facebook and it was lovely to talk to her about her role as Cyan, which she really enjoyed. She even purchased a copy of my book. Thankyou so much, Ivana!
In my books, Cyan is the bringer of cold fronts and is busy all year round - she also brings the cooler air of night and her powers are strongest in September, when summer is drawing to a close. Her attitude may seem a little cool towards strangers at first but don't worry, Cyan soon warms to people. Cyan is sometimes a little jealous of Gilda and feels that she could do a better job of being the leader of the WeatherGens than her. She and Gilda might look very similar but in fact they are unrelated and are completely opposite in skills and personality.
