Welcome to all 'GensFans!
I created this site for all who were and still are fans of the wonderful ITV Powergen WeatherGen idents, which aired from 1996-2001 on ITV1 weather forecasts. No idents have captured the imagination of the public in quite the same way as the WeatherGens did, and we are unlikely to see such creative characters on our screens anymore.
The idents certainly made a huge impact with viewers, with many people writing and phoning in when they first started airing.
Click the links on the right to find out how these wonderful characters were brought to life, the people who created them and how I was inspired to write, illustrate and publish two books about the WeatherGens.
Since the site's launch in July 2010, it has gone from strength to strength! Thanks to all fans for the hits!
